What you'll need

Detailed minimums will be confirmed at first release. The targets below reflect the build's design constraints.

Operating system
Windows 10 (version 22H2 or later) or Windows 11. 64-bit only.
Processor
Quad-core x86-64. Modern Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 or better recommended for live encode while gaming.
Memory
8 GB minimum. 16 GB recommended if you're streaming AAA titles.
GPU
Hardware video encode strongly recommended — NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, or Intel QuickSync. Software encode (libx264) works as a fallback at higher CPU cost.
Network
Stable upstream of at least 6 Mbps for 1080p60 streams. Wired ethernet preferred for competitive titles.
Disk
~250 MB for the installer. Negligible runtime footprint.

Install steps

First-time setup

The flow once your beta invite arrives.

  1. Run the installer.

    Double-click the signed Outcome-Companion-Setup-1.5.0-x64.exe. Windows SmartScreen may ask for confirmation on first launch — once Microsoft has seen enough installs of this build, the prompt goes away.

  2. Launch Outcome Companion.

    The app opens to a Pairing view with a QR code. Leave it open.

  3. Open Outcome on your iPhone.

    In Outcome on iOS, go to Profile → Settings → Companion. Tap Connect PC to launch the QR scanner.

  4. Scan the QR.

    Point your iPhone camera at the QR shown on your PC. The two devices connect automatically. The QR is single-use and expires after five minutes — generate a new one if it times out.

  5. Pick a game source and go live.

    The companion lists detected games (Steam, Epic, plus running processes). Pick one and hit Start. Your gameplay appears live inside Outcome.

Troubleshooting

Common questions

Windows says the installer is from an unknown publisher.
On first install, SmartScreen may prompt because the signature is new in the wild. Click More info → Run anyway after verifying the publisher reads as ANTE Digital INC. Once Microsoft has seen enough launches, the prompt goes away on its own.
The companion can't see my game.
The companion scans Steam, Epic, and the running-process list. Games launched outside those (some legacy installs, GOG, Battle.net) won't auto-appear at first. Launch the game first, then click Refresh in the companion's game list.
The pairing QR isn't scanning from my iPhone.
QR codes expire after five minutes — if more time has passed, generate a new one from the companion's Pairing view. If the scanner still doesn't recognize it, increase your monitor brightness and make sure no other app is overlaying the QR.
Stream looks fine on the PC but viewers see lag.
Confirm your upstream bandwidth is stable. The companion's Diagnostics view shows the current bitrate, frame rate, and dropped frames — if any of those are flaring, lower the encoder bitrate or switch to wired ethernet for the streaming session.
How do I disconnect?
Click Disconnect in the companion, or close the app. Your iOS session ends immediately and your gameplay stops appearing in Outcome.
